As the founder of Elden-Law, Kevin is an experienced business attorney whose primary area of practice includes commercial real estate and corporate transactions. He has previously served as in-house counsel to a national builder and as a Principal at a regional law firm. The firm was created to focus on serving the needs of its clients in the most timely and efficient manner possible.
Kevin represents a variety local, regional and national businesses, real estate ventures and financial institutions in transactional matters. His practice serves a variety of industries, including financial services, insurance, agriculture, aggregate mining, auto dealerships, franchises, construction, contractors, hospitality, manufacturing, technology, retail and restaurants. While a Maryland licensed attorney and well versed in local matters, he has the resources, contacts and expertise to close deals for clients throughout the country.
His real estate practice focuses on the negotiation and drafting of purchase, sale and development agreements for a range of uses. Projects include the acquisition, development and construction of residential subdivisions, multi-family projects, hotel properties, mixed-use projects, golf course communities, apartments, office, condominiums, retail centers, self-storage and warehouse facilities. He handles the review and drafting of leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants, and resolved issues arising from the ownership, management and leasing of real property. He also assists clients in their dealings with local, state and federal government agencies and quasi-government agencies.
He also serves as general counsel and counselor for various companies and organizations. He assists clients in entity formation, corporate governance and general corporate matters; negotiating and documenting the purchase and sale of businesses; including the drafting and reviewing employment agreements, stockholders and partnership agreements, non-competition agreements and general commercial contracts.
He also represents commercial lenders and borrowers in asset-based lending and real estate financing, including initial loan transactions, refinance, workouts and restructuring.
In addition to his law practice, Kevin is personally involved in several business ventures that give him a unique insight and experience in the issues businesses face on a day-to-day basis.
